Getting Ridiculous!

Welcome Back!

So this thing with Charlie getting into/onto chairs is getting a bit ridiculous! The other night I was at my desk and Charlie tried to climb onto my chair, behind me, with me sitting in the chair! That did not work well.

At one point in the evening I got up, just to turn back to see that Charlie had climbed into the chair!! Seriously.

I didn’t have the heart to push her out, so I pulled up another one to sit beside her.

I crafted. She watched. It worked well for both of us!

Excuse Me…

Welcome Back!

While sitting watching TV and probably doing a little crocheting, Charlie walked by and nonchalantly climbed right into the chair next to me and laid down.

What? She is NOT allowed on the furniture!

As you can see, she looked at me like, “What are you going to do about it?”

And dang it. She was right! I didn’t do anything about it. I get how important it is to be comfy and not bothered!

Happy!

Welcome Back!

The other night Sam had his friends over for their fourth annual football draft. Charlie was beside herself because these boys are not neat eaters!

Look at that big smile on her face! She spent the entire evening down in the basement with the boys and may have gained 5 pounds…BUT, the floor is clean!

Better with a Friend…

Happy Monday!

When Jason and I do errands, depending on where we go, we will take Charlie with us. She hangs out in the back by herself and is pretty content. This weekend, Jack decided to join us and Charlie was super happy to have him in the backseat with her!

Look at that smile! It’s almost like she is saying, “Check out who’s back here with me! Isn’t this great! I’m so happy!”

Getting Brave…

Welcome Back!

Charlie has been trying out her swimming legs (much to Jason’s horror) and is getting a bit more brave each time she “sneaks” a dip in the pool.

The boys were swimming and Charlie slowly got in the pool and swam out to Jack, grunting and drinking water all the way out to him.

She then gave him a little kiss (so sweet), and headed back to the safety of the steps.

We are trying to keep her out of the pool because we are afraid her toenails will rip the pool lining. But, I must admit, it is so hard to keep her out when we are in!

Wait! What?

Hello!

Well, it finally happened.
Charlie got in the pool.

She started by putting one foot carefully in the water. Testing the waters…I really thought she wouldn’t go in by herself.

Then she put both feet in the water.
Is she really going to do this?

Yep. She did it.
She pushed off the step, started to grunt (?) and immediately headed back to the top step.

She then ran hot laps around the pool. So proud of her huge accomplishment! She is such a little kid!
